Lying in a cool area of Carneros, the Hyde Vineyard is protected from the winds and produces slow ripening chardonnay that delivers distinctive flavors and balance. The wines typically show some spice and exotic fruit thanks to the clonal selection including both Wente and Musque

Tasting Notes

The 2019 Hyde Chardonnay displays elegant aromas and flavors of citrus and tropical fruits. With 16 months in barrel, this wine offers oak and spice with fresh acidity that lingers, with some sweetness on the broad finish. The time in barrel rounds out the wine, giving it the complexity and balance we expect from this outstanding vineyard. It should continue to develop for a few more years and be very enjoyable with some time in the bottle.
