2016 Starmont Carneros Pinot Gris
After being handpicked and sorted, the grapes were whole cluster pressed. The 2016 Pinot Gris is blended from 75% free-run and 25% lightly pressed juice to best represent and preserve varietal complexity and character. 100% barrel fermented for 10 months, undergoing partial malolactic fermentation. Blended from just 10 barrels, a mixture of 30% new French oak and 70% neutral French oak. This wine will gain complexity for two years from vintage.

With a focused entry and a good weight, enjoy concentrated flavors of melon and tart stone fruit that move to a long and focused finish. The finish will open up and soften as the wine matures over the next few months.
