2016 Starmont Chardonnay Stanly Ranch Estate
This wine was fermented in barrel with a combination of commercial and native yeast. Fermented on heavy lees with no bâttonage and light lees with bâttonage, the wine was racked only once to assemble final blend before bottling. Fermentation was done in 17% new French oak barrels (CaVin), 33% twice used, and the balance neutral. Due to the structure-driven nature, in the form of bright acidity, this wine has the potential for longevity while still being approachable in its youth.
