The first sip starts softly and moves forward with nice acidity and texture, framing flavors of cherry and strawberry on the palate. Hand harvested in early September at the Lee Vineyard in Carneros, the grapes were given a 5 day cold soak and fermented in open top tanks with native yeast to maintain their distinctive terrior. Racked only twice, this wine spent 21 months in French oak (35% new). Comprised entirely of Swan Clone, just 429 cases were produced and with proper cellaring the wine will drink well for the next 5+ years.
