2013 Starmont Chardonnay, Carneros
Cool breezes from the nearby San Pablo Bay work alongside the marine-based soils of Carneros to produce the ideal environment for Chardonnay. With a hue of vibrant pale gold, our 2013 bottling delivers aromas of ripe Gravenstein and Granny Smith apples, citrus, spice, anise and fennel. The palate begins soft, evolving to a medium bodied acidity. Flavors of apple tart, ripe pear along with subtle oak toast and spice combine into a unique and wonderful experience. Refreshing minerality on the finish brings the journey to a close.

Using traditional methods including sur lie barrel aging and partial malolactic fermentation ensures a richness and complexity to the final product while honoring the unique character of Carneros Chardonnay.
