2007 Merryvale Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard

In 2007 the valley experienced mild weather through the growing season with a slightly cooler summer and warm September. This climate resulted in slow, even ripening with a crop just slightly smaller than normal, and the highly desired small berry size. Winemakers across the valley are very excited about the 2007 vintage.

The Wine
As is typical with Hyde Chardonnay, this wine is complex without being assertive, displaying refinement and an expression of the unique vineyard.  Intense aromas of pear, apricot, orange blossom and ripe apple are framed by crisp minerality and spicy oak notes.  The wine is rich and balanced in the mouth with long finish.  Enjoy!
